Corey Walker
Corey is the Vice President of the Human Resources department at Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation.
As a Brooklyn native, the Yard will forever hold a special place in my heart. This is where it all started, this is home. Everything's come full circle and it's an absolute honor and privilege to lead the HR team and continue to shape the organizational culture.
Corey launched his HR career at the Navy Yard as an intern. He quickly rose through the ranks managing HR operations for the organization. Prior to returning to the Yard, Corey served as a HR Business Partner for Major League Soccer, where he partnered with leaders and their teams in areas such as performance management, employee relations, culture, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, compensation, and talent development. In his previous roles, Corey has led the development of companywide Human Resources strategy, programs, and initiatives. Corey believes that the most important resource of any organization is its people and is committed to making the workplace efficient, enjoyable, and equitable. Corey holds a BS in Sports Management from St. John’s University with a minor in Business Administration.
