Who We’re Looking For

Since the 500+ businesses in the Yard are diverse in their size, focus, and industry, we look for candidates in all fields. We most often have opportunities within these sectors:

  • Industrial and Manufacturing
  • Food and Hospitality
  • Design and Fabrication
  • Engineering
  • Marketing and Sales
  • Administrative and General Office

The Employment Center focuses on helping employers build a local workforce and strongly encourages candidates from within the surrounding community to visit. We also work closely with veterans, individuals who have
previously been involved in the justice system, and those who have been long-term unemployed to find employment. The Employment Center also partners with NYCHA to make job opportunities available to residents.

What We Provide

After you become part of our candidate pool, we will follow up to connect you with opportunities that are a fit for your skill sets and interests as they are available. Before you are connected with an employer, we will work with you to prepare for interviews. Additionally, we will provide ongoing communication about training and other support available through our partners.

Training
We work closely with job training partners, including Brooklyn Workforce Innovations. Candidates interested in specific sectoral training opportunities can be referred to partner programs or visit this link for more information on current programs: Training Opportunities
