The Brooklyn Navy Yard (the Yard) is a mission-driven industrial park that is a nationally acclaimed model of the viability and positive impact of modern, urban industrial development. Encompassing 300 acres on the Brooklyn waterfront, the Yard is now home to over 330 businesses employing seven thousand people. In the midst of its largest expansion in generations, the Yard will add nearly 2.5mm SF or real estate and 17 thousand jobs in the next five years.

Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis
Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) seeks an energetic, proactive, enthusiastic and highly talented candidate for the newly-created position of Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and, together with BNYDC’s Controller and colleagues in the Finance Department, will work closely with BNYDC’s management to determine and achieve the strategic goals of the organization. S/he will be a key member of the team responsible for developing, implementing and directing effective budget, forecasting and financial planning processes, performing high quality financial analyses and making related actionable recommendations, modeling BNYDC’s existing and planned real estate projects, and communicating financial information and insights to the CFO and senior leadership. This is an opportunity to create a key planning function from scratch and grow with BNYDC as it embarks on its next important stage of development and expansion.
Loading Dock Master
The Loading Dock Master performs functions that are vital to the daily operation of BNYDC’s loading dock as it relates to deliveries, shipments, contractor access control, and general policies and procedures.
Assistant Chief Engineer
Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, the assistant participates in the development and execution of engineering projects. This may include design, implementation and testing. The assistant also provides statistical reports and data on engineering projects to carefully document the process, provide necessary invoicing, purchase needed materials and equipment. This can involve defining and developing policies and procedures for engineering projects being developed as well.
Tool Room Operator
BYNDC is seeking to hire a Tool Room Operator. While supporting the Operations department, the Tool Room Operator will be responsible for all facets of inventory management and control.
The Counsel will work with BNYDC's legal department staff to review, draft and negotiate contracts and other legal documents, with an emphasis on leasing, on BNYDC's behalf. This position is primarily transactional but will involve elements of managing litigations and insurance matters, among other projects.
Shuttle Bus Operator
The primary role of a driver is to continuously provide safe, reliable and efficient transportation services. The BNYDC Transportation Department is committed to providing Yard tenants, visitors, employees and business partners with a high level of professional service.
BNYDC is seeking to hire an Events Manager. The Events Manager will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director, Exhibits & Program in executing the corporation’s events business plan. This position calls for an individual who has a passion for and experience with volunteerism and corporate event management; an enthusiastic professional who is comfortable speaking in public, and is able to build relationships with internal and external customers. The Events Manager will anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with little supervision. The Events Manager will also conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help the executive team make decisions about event possibilities.
