Executive Director Business Services
The Executive Director will lead the further development, expansion and implementation of this suite of business services and programs through BNYDC and third-party providers. The role also will require ongoing research based upon dynamic business needs and interests, continuous marketing and outreach to Yard businesses and execution of ongoing impact assessments of business support programs and services. The role will require a creative and entrepreneurial approach to leverage the potential of the extraordinary community of businesses at the Yard and support their ongoing growth
BNYDC is seeking a dynamic individual to join its leasing team and help execute the marketing and leasing efforts at the Yard. The Leasing Associate position will help lead BNYDC’s efforts to attract new tenants to the Brooklyn Navy Yard and lease new spaces that come online. The Leasing Associate will assist the VP of Leasing in the tenanting of Building 77, a nearly 1 million square foot building that will be Brooklyn’s premiere modern industrial facility, as well as existing space at the Yard.
Executive Administrative Assistant
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief of Staff, the Executive Administrative Assistant offers administrative support to senior executives in the Office of the President.
Chief Engineer, Building 77
The Chief Engineer for Building 77 is a critical role at the building and will be primarily responsible for the building’s technical operations. The Chief Engineer will help identify, develop, and execute engineering operations at the building in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards. This position will provide leadership and support for our tenant's various projects, including design, planning and installation of equipment in tenant spaces.
Archives Processing Intern May 1 to August 31 2017
The BNYDC Archives seeks an intern to assist in processing archival collections both large and small in extent. Under the supervision of the BNYDC Archivist, the intern will re-process one large collection at the item level, based on a processing plan devised by the Archivist. The intern may also complete arrangement and description for a series of smaller collections.
Archives Cataloging/Digitization Intern May 1 to August 31 2017
The BNYDC Archives seeks an intern to participate in a large scale digitization and cataloging project. Under the supervision of the BNYDC Archivist, the intern will assist in processing a collection containing architectural and engineering plans from the Brooklyn Navy Yard’s history. The intern will arrange and inventory plans currently housed in flat file cabinets. In addition, the intern is expected to scan and catalog plans in the Archives’ digital asset management system, hosted by CollectiveAccess.
Construction Project Manager - Brooklyn, NY
The Construction Project Manager of the Design & Construction Department is responsible for some management and oversight of BNYDC's waterfront rehabilitation, the $60M Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (“FEMA’s”) Public Assistance (“PA”) Program for Disaster DR-4085, as well as the various development and construction projects currently in the Yard’s $250M ten-year capital budget.
Project Manager - Brooklyn, NY
The Project Manager is responsible for managing various infrastructure and utility upgrade projects in the Yard’s capital budget, as well as management and oversight of the electrical substation and steam generating plant portion of a $60M Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (“FEMA’s”) Public Assistance (“PA”) Program for Disaster DR-4085.
Senior Director of Maintenance - Brooklyn, NY
The Senior Director of Maintenance provides coordination, management, and supervision toward the efficient operation of the maintenance staff, who are responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance; routine and major alteration; renovation, and repair of all BNYDC occupied and unoccupied buildings and grounds; roadway, sidewalks, water, sewer, steam, HVAC, elevators and fire protection systems.
Security Officer - Brooklyn, NY
The security officer will ensure the safety and security of visitors, tenants, and employees at the Brooklyn Navy Yard while providing excellent customer service at various posts throughout the Navy Yard.
