Massimiliano Nanni, also know as “Chicco”, came to New York in the early 90s with the idea of bringing good traditional Italian food to New Yorkers. Over the past 20 years, he has become an accomplished restaurateur with a long and impressive list of successful restaurants, including Piadina, Saraghina, Celestino, and Lella Alimentari to name a few, leaving an uncontestable trend-setting mark. His expertise is deep but his true passion is pizza, specifically Neapolitan style. He was trained in Italy by a master pizzaiolo as a young man while working at his mother’s restaurant in Rimini.
